started out known as Cronulla Sutherland Leagues Club over 40 years ago and has since grown to be a fine establishment.

Cronulla Sharks was formed in September 1956 and commencedstarted out known as Cronulla Sutherland Leagues Club over 40 years ago and has since grown to be a fine establishment.

Cronulla Sharks was formed in September 1956 and commenced trading in rented premises above Coady’s Chemist Shop on The Kingsway Caringbah. It was in 1957 that we were officially incorporated as a Company Limited by Guarantee.

Nine years on and the land in Captain Cook Drive Cronulla was purchased from Sutherland Shire Council. It was not until 1974 that the club building actually commenced and was ready for our official opening in 1977.

From this time, Cronulla Sharks endured its fair share of ups and downs but in the true fighting spirit of the Sharks, the club has retained its place in the League and has become a Shire institution that everyone can be proud of.
